My Journey to PhD Application...

I will be starting my PhD study in Anthropology in Washington University in St. Louis (WUSL), Missouri, USA by this August. I somewhere do realize the challenge it holds for me still I could not help myself from thinking about the journey to PhD. The best thing about this successful application has been the happiness it gave to my respected Father as I know what he has gone through. Without his struggles, it will be very naive to even think about my study. To sum it up, he pretty much gave up everything for our study. Moreover, this also has not been possible without the timely reminder and support of Prof. Geoff Childs, possibly one of the best mentors I could find for this Anthropology study. Many friends and senior colleagues shared the same thought when I was unsure and requested for their suggestions to choose the best department and the mentor. Anyways, to make it short, I have to say I am pretty much looking forward to a new journey where I will again be going back and staying in Dolpo, at-least for a year, which is the Cherry on the Cake, supposedly the PhD.

Last but not the least, I also rejected the study offer from the Columbia University, NY, USA to successfully get into the WUSL...
