Dear Ishan and My Few Concerns ‪#‎iamwithishan‬ #LetsPaintTheTownRed

I thought about this a lot but then, I could not stop myself from writing this. Dear Ishan, no-doubt what you have tried and how you have been trying to excel your ‘Satyagraha’ protests are exemplary. Your abilities to inflict pain upon yourself without harming others for the united and 'harmonious' Nepal will always be appreciated. Yet I would therefore always motivate you and your strong will to challenge the state, even if I could only show my indirect involvement by sharing your status and by conveying my wishes via this blog. As one of your well-wishers, I felt that I should also share my few concerns. I must let you know that these concerns might further cement your political willingness to built our Nepal by accommodating diversity. I would like to apologize for my naivety if you find any.

First, why do you think that the present head of the state should apologize when the NC headed the state with a different Home Minister (than the current one) when the massacre in Terai happened? We all know that the present government is not supported by NC. Don’t you think that NC are also more responsible and should be forced to apologize?

Second, we all know that the present government will be very reluctant to say anything to you and I will be very surprised if the ‘Oil’ government would ever show their concerns. What can you really expect from the same person who jokes about the dead ones while reducing the punishment for those involved in ‘Oil’ shortage?

Third, amidst these situations, even if the present government issues an apology and forms the high level investigative committee to reveal the state's brutal violence immediately, it’d be great if you could make us understand your meaning behind those phrases? If you are pointing towards the punishing the real culprits, do you really think that our justice system is that strong to punish both the culprits including 'Kathmandu' leaders? And won’t that be a far fetched dream when our National Reconstruction Authority and Transitional Justice Mechanism still remain in a mess with many quake survivors and victims still waiting for the aid? In addition, are there any foundation to expect those leaders ever pushed behind the bars when they are not yet tried in the Court for their previous 'killings' during ten years long Insurgency?

Finally, I would humbly request you to consider changing your stance from committing a 'suicide' to commit yourself for a continuous and collective (inter-sectional) struggle and get involve in many 'padayatra' if you seriously believe upon the change, while understanding more in-depth about the socio-cultural, economic, religious and political chains of many diverse 'Nepali' humans!

If possible, produce more leaders besides becoming one!!!

Thank you!

Best wishes,
Tashi
